A true rescuer puts the needs of the animals first. We now have more hard-to-place and longer term animals in our care, and we provide assistance to the shelter with on-site adoptions. Adopters must be 18 years or older, have a valid driver’s license or picture ID, provide proof of address, and sign an adoption contract.

Many dogs are abandoned by their owners and are left in shelters or even on the streets. We are excited to introduce our rescue animals currently seeking forever homes! If the dog owners leave their dogs in an animal shelter there is a possibility that these dogs may survive and get a happy home; there is also a possibility that they maybe executed if nobody is prepared to adopt them. Every day on average in this country more than 4,000 healthy animals are euthanized simply because there aren’t enough homes.

Foster care volunteers provide temporary care for kittens, puppies, dogs and cats. We are 501c3 nonprofit and we are all volunteers so every penny goes to the care of the animals. With the economic downturn facing the United States, many people are losing their jobs and homes.

Shelter directors are so keen on having a low euthanasia rate that they hoard too many animals and forget about the quality of their lives. You can go online or check with your local animal shelter for the rescue group nearest you. We provide service throughout Orange County, including all municipalities.

Our Companions Animal Rescue & Sanctuary

Each year, millions of dogs and cats are turned over to animal shelters because their owners do not want them any more. Get involved and help promote adoptable pets in your area. Because we rescue 70-100 animals each month out of a 4 kennel garage, we rely heavily on our fosters. It takes a village to provide everything needed for the 50 dogs at the rescue, 15 more in foster care and the other animals on the farm.

Seeing animals suffer, constantly struggling for funds, watching as people dump their animals in your lap, can all take its toll. We are working to coordinate and support additional relief flights for displaced animals that are moving north for rescue. Volunteer opportunities are wide-ranging and include everything form brushing and grooming the animals to assisting at adoption events.

No one wants to see dogs euthanized alone, without loving owners to memorialize them with pet urns or pet head stones, so these rescues are highly valued within the pet community. In addition, some of these groups take animals that live in kill shelters or as strays living on the streets.

You may also make your payment in person at any County of Los Angeles animal care center. Most of the dogs that come into shelters will be euthanized, but thanks to dog rescue, many of these dogs do eventually find a stable home. Submit your complaint in writing either by sending a letter to the County animal care center that serves the area where you live or by completing the online form located below.

People leave their unwanted dogs and other pets on the roadside or fields or woods under the assumption that by instinct they will revert back to wild and survive; in reality this is not the case.
