It is our goal to match homeless shelter pets with loving, forever homes. No. There is an adoption fee for each animal placed into a new home from any of our animal care centers. If you are abusive to your pet dog or are neglecting it then there are people that will come and rescue the animal from you.
When you choose a pet from an animal shelter, be prepared to go through an interview and application process. The Department also provides post-operative pain medication for pets that have been spayed or neutered. Brother Wolf’s adoption process is designed to help make lasting matches between animals in our care and great new families.
Animal Rescue Konnection (ARK) bridges the gap between dogs in need and the organizations that can help them find new homes. All pets are welcome to the clinic, not just those adopted from our shelter. It is the responsibility of the adopter to provide transportation to come and meet the animal of interest.
Adoptable Dogs
Pet adoptions are a wonderful thing. Animal Services has hundreds of adoptable pets at any given time. For the person who is looking for full time employment or to make a career out of the care of animals, many SPCA’s do offer full time positions. Your donations are a critical part of saving lives and giving medical care to pets in need.
Comprised of non-paid individuals committed to animal welfare, the Commission would serve in an advisory capacity to help cities and counties achieve the no-kill goal at their public shelters. Now that the Haywood County Animal Shelter has achieved no-kill status, it is our goal to make sure they are able to maintain that record.
Bonner Animal Rescue is a dedicated group of local residents who believe every pet deserves a forever home and the right to live free from neglect and abuse. Every member of the ARL team plays an important role in changing the lives of animals and the people who love them.
Are You Really Ready To Start An Animal Rescue?
People leave their unwanted dogs and other pets on the roadside or fields or woods under the assumption that by instinct they will revert back to wild and survive; in reality this is not the case. Since MARS does not have a shelter facility, all of our dogs need caring, committed and qualified people to house them and help them take the next steps in their lives. Their owners have relinquished many of the animals offered by rescue groups because they are moving or can no longer care for them.
