The Mission Of Animal Rescue
Second Chance Dog Rescue is one of San Diego’s largest and most successful non-profit 501c3 organizations dedicated to saving homeless dogs. The adoption fee does not include the dog or cat license fee, which must be paid, but varies depending on the City or area you live. Our goal is to find a forever home for each of our rescued animals. Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Clinic has been rescuing marine animals along 1,000 miles of the Northeastern coastline since 1975.
A city on the verge of revitalization, Reseda has made Emergency Preparedness a priority and hopes to furnish a van with all the supplies their community will need in the event of the “big one.” Community members will be CERT (Certified Emergency Rescue Team) trained and preparations will be made for their animals as well.
IF you find a pet offered through an animal shelter, you will be asked to sign a contract saying that you agree to care for the pet long term. Shelters and rescue groups do charge a fee, but it’s relatively inexpensive compared to the service they provide. When we first started our rescue, one of our goals was to make our adoption process an easy and enjoyable experience.
Foster care volunteers provide temporary care for kittens, puppies, dogs and cats. We are 501c3 nonprofit and we are all volunteers so every penny goes to the care of the animals. With the economic downturn facing the United States, many people are losing their jobs and homes.

Last Chance Animal Rescue operates in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia. It has been estimated that 60{fbb776f8dab57fd66ddeb6f7effb60e483a53eea7695a256eca5ddec6b99fcb7} of dogs and 70{fbb776f8dab57fd66ddeb6f7effb60e483a53eea7695a256eca5ddec6b99fcb7} of cats that arrive in animal shelters are euthanized every year, due to limited space and resources. No matter the location or scale of the deployment, the ASPCA is prepared to take on animal cruelty cases when needed—from initial investigations to the final placement of rescued animals in homes.
Please note that in addition to making a payment using the Online Payment Service, payments to DACC can also be made by mail or in person. The role of the rescue groups is to take animals from shelters that would otherwise be euthanized due to lack of space or health issues, and find permanent and loving homes for these animals.
Having the animal’s health history at the time of adoption helps the animal find a permanent home. Each year, the Humane Society of the United States animal rescue team works with local agencies to rescue thousands of animals from puppy mills, animal fighting operations, natural disasters and other life-threatening situations.
