Adoption Process
Pet adoptions are a wonderful thing. If more than one IP is interested in the animal, the first IP to arrive at the animal care center on the date it becomes available shall be given the first opportunity to adopt the animal, moving down the list sequentially. CTA’s may not be placed on animals whose holding period is still in effect when the stray holding period has ended, it can immediately be adopted.
You may also make your payment in person at any County of Los Angeles animal care center. Most of the dogs that come into shelters will be euthanized, but thanks to dog rescue, many of these dogs do eventually find a stable home. Submit your complaint in writing either by sending a letter to the County animal care center that serves the area where you live or by completing the online form located below.
